Our work
Core activities a. Mass Epilepsy awareness campaigns in academic environments and community targeting young people as a backbone of a country. Strong collaboration with governmental bodies, private sectors, NGOs, universities, and schools to develop effective strategies for epilepsy prevention, management and treatment using various method including advanced technology. b. Collaborating with university staff memberโ€™s especially mental health nursing staff, clinical psychologists, sociologists among others in developing different strategies for addressing mental health related issues with in schools and communities. c. Advocating for poor and homeless people diagnosed with epilepsy and undiagnosed to get effective epilepsy care. d. Organize public talks and presentations on social media and traditional media such as TV and Radio about epilepsy aiming at health promotion and illness prevention. e. Diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy using telemedicine and traditional method in mass events like sports, in schools and community. Mass screening of epilepsy in public gathering and various region of the country and early detection of epilepsy. f. Provide training to young people, health professionals, professionals in other field like mathematicians, and community health workers about epilepsy. g. Capacity building of YES members and epilepsy sufferers through various business models h. Mobile clinic and online consultations.


We are a group of Nurses and Teacher operating in Rwanda,We are in the early stages of a career focused on the care of people with epilepsy, and/or epilepsy research. By observing the high prevalence of epilepsy, new epilepsy diagnosis, and limited access to care due to shortage of health care professionals in Rwanda, YES Rwanda was initiated to bring possible solutions. The vaulting purposes are;

  1. Improve the professional development of young people working with epilepsy across Rwanda and the globe
  2. Equitably expand the involvement of junior women and men from all regions and disciplines across the country.
  3. Health promotion, stigma eradication, and epilepsy prevention through campaigns
  4. Effective management of Epilepsy using advanced technology like artificial Intelligence , EEG, and telemedicine
