1. Adam Jallow Janneh, President and Cofounder – FESSGam.  Are we making a difference?

Adam is a humanitarian who is passionate about quality of life for people diagnosed with chronic illnesses with special interest in Epilepsy. 

2. ⁠Prof Reginald Obiako, EFSTH: Epilepsy stigma is real in West Africa.

Prof Reginald O Obiako is a Professor of Neurology and Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He is currently working at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital Banjul / the University of the Gambia as a World Bank Consultant  and Postgraduate Trainer in Neurology with the Ministry of Health, the Gambia. His area of clinical research are on epilepsy, stroke, headache and HIV therapeutics. He is a prominent member of  Nigeria League against Epilepsy and President of Nigeria Headache Society.

3. ⁠Sarah Crooks:  Lived experience

A person positively living with epilepsy.

4. ⁠ Dr Uwaezuoke Ndubuisi

Consultant paediatrician/ child neurologist.

Visiting consultant at the UTG, postgraduate trainer in EFSTH Gambia.

Been a consultant neurologist since 2014.

Graduated from the college of medicine University of Nigeria since 2001.

6. ⁠ Yahya Njie (RN-BSN) – Epilepsy Awareness in Schools and Seizure First Aid – 20 minutes

A registered nurse at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital as a clinical supervisor and tutor at the Department of Emergency and ICU. I am also an epilepsy advocate and researcher at EFSTH.

Yahya works with a charitable organization called Foundation for Epilepsy and Stigma Support The Gambia as the financial controller, project coordinator and Tele-EEG Trainer.
