In Rwanda’s rolling hills,
Where beauty abounds and thrills,
There’s a struggle to be fought,
A stigma to be brought to naught.
Epilepsy, a condition so misunderstood,
Has caused many to be shunned and subdued,
But with knowledge and empathy,
We can end this painful legacy.
Let’s raise awareness and educate,
So that we may alleviate,
The fear and ignorance that surround,
Epilepsy, a condition that’s found.
In the smiles of our children,
In the eyes of our mothers,
Let’s see the beauty that lies within,
And fight for their right to be discovered.
Let’s break the chains of ignorance and fear,
And bring epilepsy out of the shadows so near,
For when we stop the stigma, we’ll see,
A world that’s brighter and full of glee.
So let us stand together and fight,
For the dignity of those in plight,
And make Rwanda a place of hope,
Where epilepsy is met with love, not a rope.
